Stayed in room 183 in the superior bldg, great location. Nice big room, clean. Updated. Beds were comfy. Great view of the lake if you were outside of the doorway. Easy access to outside pool and hot tub. Short walk to indoor pool which was very nice. Breakfast was good, lots of choices ( waffles, biscuits/gravy, sausage, scram eggs, cereals, fruit, yogurt, bagels, pastries).got very crowded but girls did an amazing job keeping stocked and clean.
Our experience at Best Western Harbour Pointe Lakefront was excellent. Our room was very up-to-date, with a great Jacuzzi bathtub and huge bed. Our balcony had a beautiful lake view and we watched a fox sneak around on the hill behind the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was great and had more options than I'm used to seeing. They had a sign that they had special dietary food available upon request, which was considerate. Room service was good and we came back to our room looking very fresh every day.
The people and property were excellent. The grounds are kept up nicely and yet they are very lenient about the rules as to where you park on the grounds and what you have on the grounds. As an example when we were at the Antique tractor bridge crossing, a couple years ago, they let us drive our tractors anywhere on the property. We could park near our rooms to watch the tractors as a security measure. There seemed to be something similar at the lighted semi truck bridge crossing, on our last stay. Every one appreciates it, as none seem to take advantage of the freedom allowed. The evening campfire is an excellent place to meet other guests, and eat and drink and relax on the campus. The lakeside setting is great and sleeping there is easy. Thank you! Best Western, Jim
The staff at the Best Western were extremely friendly and hospitable. The property was large and was more like a resort than a hotel. The view of lake Huron accompanied by the bonfire pit at night made for a very comfortable and homey stay. The pool was very clean and very nice. We woke up in the morning to a large breakfast with eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, muffins, juice, cereal, fruit, sausage, and waffles; all with a view overlooking the lake. Very beautiful place, I am recommending this place to all my friends as an alternative to mackinaw city.

We had a great stay at this location! Everything was clean and everyone was very nice...bonfire and marshmallows on the beach was a great bonus! Garth at the front desk was very helpful. We booked through the 800 number and were told our room was waterfront, when indeed it was only a partial water view and ONLY if you were standing on the corner of the balcony. We were told the next time we stay to call the hotel directly and they will help find a room using the online map so we can stay in exactly the kind of room we want. We also purchased ferry tickets through the hotel. We would definitely stay here again!
