The boarding process was easy. You receive a ticket with a tear off stub on either end, so one for outbound and one for return-definitely need to keep your tickets in a safe spot as they won’t accept any receipts/or other proof of purchase should you lose your ticket.

On the way back, we rode on the upper outside deck. It was cold at first but once the ferry sped up we were were going the same speed as the wind so it was actually a pretty calm ride back to the ferry port. Overall great service while on board. Would definitely use them again. Everyone was very knowledgeable on any questions I had asked!

Excellent service and extremely helpful and knowledgeable of island! So easy to get luggage and tickets! Valet for overnight, secured parking is fabulous, only $10 for up to 5 nights!

Very helpful and courteous staff. Answered all of our questions. The luggage handling was also very convenient as they took our items to our hotel.

We rode front row, inside the enclosed, heated cabin on the way out. Bathrooms available inside as well. We took the 10:30 am ferry which offered a complimentary routing under the Mackinac Bridge-highly recommend as it presented many great photo opportunities you wouldn’t get otherwise. They offer an additional Historic Mackinac Island booklet for $2 - maps of the island, historical info and shop details-well worth the purchase.

We bought our ferry tickets though our hotel front desk so we didn’t deal with the ticketing office at all. The facility offered a waiting room with benches and bathrooms to stay out of the cold. They also offer baggage services and valet parking. The parking lot was being repaved but still offered plenty of parking in the back lot-especially for our truck and trailer. We lined up early in the ferry boarding area outside, granted it was a cold windy day in Mid October, so most people stayed inside till about 5-10 minutes till boarding.

Very good! They take your luggage for you and take it to your hotel. The boat was very clean and the ride was smooth, and there was outdoor and indoor seating, with windows so you could see outside belowdeck.
